Patrol Officer - Kirkwood

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and/or assigned. Performs uniformed patrol work involving traffic and crime control Investigates criminal activity Enforcement of laws and ordinances Arrests offenders Protection of life and property Gives presentations to groups and individuals on subject matter related to job tasks and functions

SALARY:  STARTING SALARY: $65,144 - $78,925 per year DOQ with great benefits package.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum Training and Experience Requited to Perform Essential Job Functions: High school Diploma or GED required. Strong communication skills Ability to act effectively in emergency and non-emergency situations Must be a U.S. citizen No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions Possess a valid driver's license Excellent physical and mental condition Certified as a Police or Peace Officer of a Missouri first class county (or equivalent in another state) or currently enrolled in an Academy program that awards such a certification. Must be 21 years of age on or before the date of appointment. Non-Smoking Environment
