The City of Maplewood is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  The starting salary is $66,081 with a top pay of $94,896 upon completing a five (5) year step increase plan. The Maplewood Police Department participates in the Missouri LAGERS L-11 (2.5 % under this program to which you are vested after five years of service) retirement fund..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of employment, have current Missouri POST Class A certification or currently enrolled in a State of Missouri POST approved police academy, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, possess a valid driver’s license, and be a U.S. citizen. The selection process includes oral interviews, writing skill assessment, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, a pre-employment physical, and drug screen exams.
