Patrol Officer - The Crestwood Police Department

The City of Crestwood Missouri is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of police officer. This entry level position requires the officer to work various duty hours. Traditional law enforcement duties include but are not limited to preventive patrol operations, traffic investigation and enforcement, criminal investigations and traditional service-related calls of a peace officer.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  Minimum $57,570 - Maximum $ 76,760 (6 steps) Prior law enforcement experience for lateral starting pay at a higher step. Substantial Education Incentive Pay for Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates are required to Missouri Class A P.O.S.T. certification or currently attending a qualified P.O.S.T. certified police academy class scheduled to graduate during this hiring period. Applicants will be required to participate in an interview process and be able to pass a background examination. Applicants must have a valid driver's license. The successful candidate is required to submit to psychological testing and a physical examination.
