Rate: Starting hourly rate – without experience: $30.25 & with experience: $32.53

Primary Duties
The primary duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer include the prevention and suppression of crime, the investigation of offenses and the arrest of offenders, the protection of life and property, and the preservation of the peace.

⦁ Performs other duties as requested
Job Minimum Requirements
⦁ Applicants must be a U.S. citizen
⦁ Must have either a high school diploma or G.E.D.
⦁ Minimum age of 21
⦁ Valid driver’s license
⦁ U.S. Military Service Or
⦁ A minimum of 64 hours of college credit, Criminal Justice is preferred
Selection Process Requirements, applicants must pass:

⦁ Oral Interview
⦁ Physical agility testing
⦁ Background investigation
⦁ Polygraph
⦁ Psychological exam
⦁ Chief’s Interview
⦁ Mayor’s Interview
⦁ Pre-placement physical and drug screen exams
