About Missouri Peace Officers Association (MPOA)

The Missouri Peace Officers Association is the oldest and largest association of law enforcement personnel in the state of Missouri. The MPOA has been in existence since 1932. Membership in the MPOA is open to all branches and ranks of the criminal justice field. Membership also includes those in the private security profession. Membership in the MPOA is inclusive of people in the criminal justice field in the state of Missouri.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Missouri Peace Officers Association shall be to advance the science and art of criminal justice services, to develop and disseminate improved administrative, technical and operational practices and promote their use in the criminal justice profession, to foster cooperation and the exchange of information and experience among peace officers throughout the state of Missouri, to further training for those in the law enforcement profession, and to encourage adherence of all law enforcement officers to high professional standards of performance and conduct.

We Will Achieve Our Mission By

  • Maintaining a strong professional, progressive organization open to all peace officers and private security professionals regardless of rank, position, or size of the agency.
  • Endorsing and supporting legislation beneficial to the law enforcement community and the citizens of Missouri.
  • Providing meaningful benefits and services to our members, which will assist them in performing their duties within the law enforcement and the larger community they each serve.
  • Encourage a free exchange of ideas and experiences to help members in solving local problems within their communities.
  • Encourage cooperation among all groups of law enforcement across the state of Missouri.
  • Promoting high educational standards, ethics, and training for law enforcement personnel.
