POLICE OFFICER - CITY OF ST. PETERS

JOB OBJECTIVES: Under general supervision, performs general duties in the protection of life and proper-ty through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The position regularly requires decisions for which there are no clearly defined or es-tablished policies or procedures; constantly requires the handling of confidential or sensitive information; also regular periods of physical effort and constant periods of mental effort are required. An employee in this position has some responsibility for determining departmental regulatory actions.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  $28.62/hr. - $30.82/hr..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. citizen. High school graduate or GED certificate. Sixty college credit hours from an accredited College or University; or two (2) years of continuous police service with the same police agency; or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and received a discharge under Honorable Conditions. Must meet all Missouri Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification requirements for a 1st class charter county (Class A) prior to start date. Twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Must have a Motor Vehicle Operator’s License valid in the state of Missouri. Must pass required testing.
