Police Officer - Kirkwood Police

Must meet the POST training requirements for a first class county in the State of Missouri, or currently be enrolled in a qualified academy graduating by December 16, 2019. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs uniformed patrol work involving traffic and crime control • Investigates criminal activity • Enforcement of laws and ordinances • Arrests offenders • Protection of life and property • Gives presentations to groups and individuals on subject matter related to job tasks and functions

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY:  61,110.85/year, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  • Strong communication skills • Ability to act effectively in emergency and non-emergency situations • Must be a U.S. citizen • No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions • Possess a valid driver's license • Excellent physical and mental condition • Must be 21 years of age on or before the date of appointment.
